Estimated Project Timeframe:

? weeks for design concept and documentation.

? weeks for construction.

Botanical Traditions - Victoria Street Early Learning Centre

In this design an array of spaces were used in this design to encourage interactive and physically challenging play, as well as quiet and reflective areas.  The construction will go ahead in mid 2012.

This playspace has been divided into two main areas; The North and East section for the older children and the South section for younger children. The two sections are separated by a visually permeable fence and access gate.

The babies space comprises synthetic softfall, sandpit, an open paved area and a large synthetic turf area. The older childrens area features a large productive space, a deck stage and performance area, a sandpit with beach entry, small paved area and a large open softfall area.

A large productive area includes vegetable gardens, orchard and animal area, a free standing pergola with climbers planted on it, and a wide tinted-concrete area with sight depressions which, when it rains or when water is applied with a hose become puddles, are also features of the design.
